Damper Plates

The Poly Flex damper plate was developed to reduce gear noise, spline wear and to isolate torsional vibrations at lower speeds. This is achieved by the various hardness of the damper used between the 2 drive plates varying from 80 to 1000Nm (Engines up to 700 HP).

The flexible elements are made from a type of polyurethane elastomer which has good heat qualities and is not affected by salt water, diesel, and lubrication oil. They are designed to be Fail-Safe and maintain the drive if the flexible element fails.

Drive plates and all other steel components are SA5 cobalt zinc coated to inhibit rust for extended life.
