TRIBUTE PERFORMANCE BOATS PICKS POLY FLEX
Known for their innovative designs, Tribute Performance Boats produces custom sportfishing boats. Paying close attention to detail, they made sure to install superior Poly Flex engine mounts and flexible disc couplings from their US/Canada Warehouse facility, Thermo Boat in two of their latest builds.
The 72 Tribute Alican with dual 1,825 hp Caterpillar C-32 Acert engines utilizes heavy-duty Poly Flex engine mounts. Their advanced polymer technology provides vibration control and drive-line protection.
"I was impressed," said Tribute Performance Boat company owner Rich Scheffer. "These engine mounts are so light and simple; I could pick them up with one hand. But they are incredibly durable and work marvellously. We are very happy with them."
The new 86 Unleashed from Tribute Performance Boats is a structurally and technologically advanced sportfishing boat. It features six staterooms, seven heads, an enclosed flybridge and completely integrated entertainment.
It includes navigation, monitoring and control systems with dynamic positioning and a 3-axis joystick. Powered by three 2,400 hp MTU engines, with one jet drive and two propellers, the innovative 86 Unleashed has too much horsepower for traditional disc couplings.
"I always wanted to use couplings in our boats, but we could never find a product that would handle our horsepower," said Scheffer.
Dedicated to meeting their customer's needs, Poly Flex flexible disc couplings were specially-made to fit the 86 Unleashed transmissions. These custom couplings have joined the Poly Flex line to handle installations of this size and larger.
